20% Residual Income + $500/new account - to setup appointments

MONEY MONEY MONEY $$$$ Just for setting up appointments!

I came up with a new unheard off compensation plan for independent reps. - 20% residual paid out on gross invoice billings to customer for up to 2 years + $500/base paid out per month a new account is opened (1 per month). This special incentive plan runs for 1 month and what happens?

You guest it, many takers!! Its an incredible program - where the reps could earn more than $100K in income potentially from one or two accounts. Additionally, no cap on commissions. Here is the best part - they do not need to know anything about technology or my company!! All they have to do is follow my training to identify customers who have a need and get them to take an appointment with me - CEO of the Company. They do not have to deal with closing the account, no paper-work, they simply have to book appointments for me. WOW!!

WOW!! Right! I heard this from many of the mom's who want to come back to work part-time, some reps working in reciting and placement firms. Heck even business owners in the same outsourcing space - called me to learn how they could potentially get into this program.

Why is this an impressive plan? We have very low costs for USA operations - we can pass along a higher payout to our team. I am a strong believer of paying people for performance - therefore, I have no issues paying out this plan because I know that only 1 out of 4 will actually do the work. Independent Sales Reps. - Motivation

What makes Independent Sales Reps - motivated to sell and make a living.

  • Would it be the fact that they do not have a boss to report to?
  • Maybe its the money they will earn?
  • Could it be they are smarter then employees?
  • Are the risk takers?
  • Might it be greed?
  • How about fear of being stuck in a job?
Whatever the motivations are - its clear they have the power and capabilities to generate significant revenues for a business that rewards them for service, and when there is residual income to be made - that really turns them on...at least that seems to be the message coming from the few I have had an opportunity to engage.

So, we designed a new compensation package with 20% Commission & Residual + base = takers!!

Well Takers = Givers we should have an amazing opportunity for the Company and the ISRs - its the journey to the next marker of the business.

Open for business - making sales calls


I am an Engineer at heart - I like to create and solve business problems. I hate calling people I don't know but if I want to grow this business - I have no choice but I have to make the calls...I have no issues making calls - just getting motivated to do so is tough. I have no issues presenting and communicating information and heck its really a lot of fun to close new accounts and bring new customers into the Company and provide the best possible service.

I actually told a CIO - straight up that its no fun for me to pick up the phone to introduce myself to them - as I am sure its not fun for them to take a call from a total stranger. He totally appreciated that and I explained to him that I love working in the business and IT space but frankly speaking this was the worst part of my job!!

Hey all you folks out there that love to pick-up the phone and call strangers - totally respect what you do and its hard work. So, take it from me - you keep doing what you are doing because without that call - and getting to share information about the business and engaging new customers - there will be NO BUSINESS.

So, guess what I have to do tomorrow - I have to pick up the phone and dial the numbers to reach out to YOU!!! :) I can't wait - its sooo much fun!!

Software as a Service using SOA

Salesforce.com has built an amazing platform and its true you can really build out some amazing software as a service platform - but for the average 10 to 300 employee company the costs are still too high for this type of solutions provider....

Hmmm! could there be a provider who can do the same for a lot cheaper price point? How about taking open source software and creating a master plan to architect an integration model to get the most powerful yet close to free solution as possible...

Opps ... I said Free, ok that's really not true because you really get what you pay for. It would likely be a lot cheaper than salesforce.com - could it work?

Well we are going to try it out...we will soon launch a large file transfer web services platform. If that works well...then we will launch and e-mail marketing platform...and keep adding to this group of web based applications as open source, close to freeware as possible.

Moving to Spring, TX from CT

Yes, we have moved from CT to TX. 4 weeks in TX - we are right outside of Houston, TX in Spring, TX - North West. Everything they say about TX is true - they do everything "Big". I am surprised how large Houston spreads, with over 5MM people and significant number of small/midsize and large businesses to service.

Most of the people I have met are two groups - transplants living here for over 10+ years and transplants coming in from CA, CT, NY, NJ, OH, etc..as recently as a year ago.

There is a significant number of friendly people - coming from CT - this is a change for sure. People actually take the time to have a conversation with you. Very nice!

In general, my family and I am looking forward to making this a successful move. We welcome meeting new people, new business ventures and opportunities all types.
