20% Residual Income + $500/new account - to setup appointments

I came up with a new unheard off compensation plan for independent reps. - 20% residual paid out on gross invoice billings to customer for up to 2 years + $500/base paid out per month a new account is opened (1 per month). This special incentive plan runs for 1 month and what happens?
You guest it, many takers!! Its an incredible program - where the reps could earn more than $100K in income potentially from one or two accounts. Additionally, no cap on commissions. Here is the best part - they do not need to know anything about technology or my company!! All they have to do is follow my training to identify customers who have a need and get them to take an appointment with me - CEO of the Company. They do not have to deal with closing the account, no paper-work, they simply have to book appointments for me. WOW!!
WOW!! Right! I heard this from many of the mom's who want to come back to work part-time, some reps working in reciting and placement firms. Heck even business owners in the same outsourcing space - called me to learn how they could potentially get into this program.
Why is this an impressive plan? We have very low costs for USA operations - we can pass along a higher payout to our team. I am a strong believer of paying people for performance - therefore, I have no issues paying out this plan because I know that only 1 out of 4 will actually do the work. I have worked in all aspects of running businesses and 1 statistics that comes up constantly is that 1 out of 10 sales reps actually make sales in most firms and they are typically the top performers. These are really poor stats and I don't understand why management would allow such poor results!! I guess that 1 person makes up for the rest - it must be ok!!
I have put a plan in place to ensure all aspects of sales is removed from this position - this is a pure numbers game - call/e-mail potential customers and get me the appointments. I will close the sales and as we grow hire a team of inside sales staff to close sales and complete the proposals.
We aim to continue paying the highest commission + base and as long as possible payout the 2 year residual income to our reps - so they can continue to see value and incentives by working with us.
