Open for business - making sales calls

I am an Engineer at heart - I like to create and solve business problems. I hate calling people I don't know but if I want to grow this business - I have no choice but I have to make the calls...I have no issues making calls - just getting motivated to do so is tough. I have no issues presenting and communicating information and heck its really a lot of fun to close new accounts and bring new customers into the Company and provide the best possible service.

I actually told a CIO - straight up that its no fun for me to pick up the phone to introduce myself to them - as I am sure its not fun for them to take a call from a total stranger. He totally appreciated that and I explained to him that I love working in the business and IT space but frankly speaking this was the worst part of my job!!

Hey all you folks out there that love to pick-up the phone and call strangers - totally respect what you do and its hard work. So, take it from me - you keep doing what you are doing because without that call - and getting to share information about the business and engaging new customers - there will be NO BUSINESS.

So, guess what I have to do tomorrow - I have to pick up the phone and dial the numbers to reach out to YOU!!! :) I can't wait - its sooo much fun!!

Software as a Service using SOA

Salesforce.com has built an amazing platform and its true you can really build out some amazing software as a service platform - but for the average 10 to 300 employee company the costs are still too high for this type of solutions provider....

Hmmm! could there be a provider who can do the same for a lot cheaper price point? How about taking open source software and creating a master plan to architect an integration model to get the most powerful yet close to free solution as possible...

Opps ... I said Free, ok that's really not true because you really get what you pay for. It would likely be a lot cheaper than salesforce.com - could it work?

Well we are going to try it out...we will soon launch a large file transfer web services platform. If that works well...then we will launch and e-mail marketing platform...and keep adding to this group of web based applications as open source, close to freeware as possible.

Stay tuned..

Thanks,
AS

Can you harvest & build e-mail lists for cheap?

How do you sell your products and services if you don't have a way to get in touch with your potential customers? If you start a business of any type - you must have a marketing budget. Sure you can sell via traditional channels - TV, Radio, Print - I hope you have deep pockets to spend money and get no results. Sure you have the sol called marketing guru's - I bump into one of these guys every day - "how come they don't advertise?" and "how come I never heard of them before I meet them at a networking event?" - LOL - EXACTLY my point!!

The old days of using these channels just don't work for small start-ups. Well sure there is Google Ads and Yahoo OverCharge (lol) and MSN Market place...and yes we use them - but lately I have noticed that Mr. Google has started to increase the cost of click ads - which has resulted in higher costs for our marketing efforts. More importantly YOU ARE NOT IN CONTROL OF OUR MARKETING EFFORTS!!! These marketing firms will want you to believe you are in control...yah righ!!

So we decided to build the FileOn List Builder - which gives you the power to harvest the web and use your own marketing lists to sell your unique products and services. Extract e-mail addresses, phone, fax, url, meta tags to build out your custom list.

Oh! yes, about spaming customers - let's define this for you. You can reach out to all types of customers through e-mail at least 1 time...as long as you provide them with the option to opt out of your e-mail list you are good to go. Also, if they do not opt out and your ask them to continue to get your e-mails and the customer approves...you now have a list you can continue to leverage.

I hope you will try our product and we will continue to improve our software for many years to come so that you can leverage this product for your marketing needs. Try it free at http://www.listdna.com/.

Word to PDF Converter - WOW!!

I know this utility might not be a big deal for many - big deal its $24.99 product but what's unique about this product is that its SIMPLE to use and guess what it provides our enterprise customers an insight into our Company's ability to deliver useful software products that which the enterprise needs.
